Twelve shades of blue New Zealand wool, each dyed separately, flow into each other without ever actually mixing. Each knot is tied one at a time by multiple artisans over four months. The deepest blue covers just 1.2% of the surface.
The white ripples are 100% undyed silk and catch the light in a soft sheen. The rings are cut slightly lower than the wool around them so you feel them as you walk across.
Thalassa is inspired by the hexagon on Saturn's north pole and the endless waters on Earth. The size is customisable and two or more tile seamlessly into one surface.
